Solomons Daycare Center implements an integrated curriculum based on the Maryland State Department of Education approved Creative Curriculum.

The Creative Curriculum is based on five fundamental principles.

SDDC teachers develop and implement lessons focusing on skills children develop in the following content areas:

Children’s progress in the SDCC program is documented using Teaching Strategies GOLD, an ongoing observational system for assessing children from birth through kindergarten. Teaching Strategies GOLD is based on 38 research-based objectives including predictors of school success and are aligned with state early learning guidelines.
